Search Engine Optimisation
All sites built by carneekinet are designed to be search engine friendly by nature.
Several examples of some ways how we achieve this are:
- HTML is well formed, semantically correct and passes validation
- Key data terms are placed appropriately within tags (such as correct use of titles and headings and values inside them) so indexing services give more weight to those terms
- Text that links to pages are accurate and meaningful so indexing service give more weight to those terms
- Links are easily followed by search engine robots
- Keeping pages short to ensure they remain focussed on given topic
- Judicious use of lists where lists are called for
- Content is separated from style through use of CSS
- RSS feeds for regularly updated content
