Warranty Woes for the HTC Dream

Sunday, 17th May 2009:

I purchased an HTC Dream running Android 1.1 from TeleChoice Eastgardens. I was very pleased - Casey was a pleasure to talk to whilst setting my account up and porting my number between carriers.

3 column layout in 2x2 columns.

Today I took a look at Acquia's website. They do commercial Drupal support. It is my hope to one day be bigger and better than they are. It's a dream, and it might not happen if carneekinet change's direction.

One thing that I really loved was their 3 column layout, so I took a look at how their markup and CSS worked and I couldn't work out why.

The netcat has 9 lives

Netcat is an awesome utility. With nc(1) you can send and receive data over TCP or UDP using pipes (as in STDIN/STDOUT).

What does this mean to the layperson running *nix? It means quick and easy file transfers without having to set up anything up. One command for the sender, and one for the receiver. To nerds, this means all manners of wonderful scripting possibilities.

KK - I did it

Well - I think I just set a personal record in theming.

My girlfriend (hey... we're not in a relationship, though we drive each other mental!) wanted a site done for her own business, Kali Kreations. She does web design and a whole swag of other things in her spare time.

The case study goes like this...

Clue Chicks

Andrew might like the title, but it really has very little to do with the content other than the word "clue" and that I wish some people could form them about really simple things like time spent.

Recently I had to justify to a potential client why the estimate of hours doubled. I budgeted about 20% of the time for meetings.

Blog Entry Day Zero

So I've finally created yet-another-blog. The twist on it, is that it's mine.
